✨A FREE 13-day experiment in noticing magic.✨

“Here’s the thing about luck…you don’t know if it’s good or bad until you have some perspective.”
― Alice Hoffman

“Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck”
― Taylor Swift

What happens when we pause long enough to pay attention to the life we’re actually living?

Sometimes life doesn’t turn out the way we expected. Sometimes everything changes. And sometimes, without anything particularly dramatic happening, we look around and think, Okay. Is this it? What now?

Maybe you’re navigating a new chapter. Maybe you’re figuring out who you are now that life looks different than you imagined. Or maybe you just want to feel a little more connected to the life you already have.

Wherever you find yourself, you’re welcome here.

Lucky 13 is a gentle, thirteen-day invitation to get curious about your life, notice what matters, and explore what might still be possible.

No resolutions. No reinvention. No pressure to become a whole new you. Just a little space to pause, reflect, and make room for more intention, possibility, and ordinary magic.

Luck isn’t 100% within our control. It’s something we make — especially through what we focus on, the stories we tell ourselves, and the choices we take.

You can be terribly unlucky and still be terribly lucky.

Both can be true.

“Luck came to those who left a space for it.”
― Terry Pratchett

So, what’s Lucky 13 all about?

I’m glad you asked!
Lucky 13 is a short, guided email experience designed to help you reconnect with yourself and the life you’re living. Over thirteen days, we’ll explore questions like:
* What is true about my life right now?
* What have I been carrying, and what am I ready to reconsider?
* What brings me joy, meaning, or a sense of connection?
* What matters to me now?
* What might still be possible?
* How do I want to meet the life unfolding before me?
You’ll receive a short daily email with a little something to consider, a few questions to explore, and one small invitation to put your reflections into practice.
There’ll be room for the hard stuff and the beautiful stuff. For honesty and hope. For the things we can change and the things we simply have to learn to live alongside.
You can use a notebook, scribble on a printed page, or just think about a question while you’re making coffee.
You don’t need to answer every prompt, complete every activity, or have a grand revelation.
This isn’t homework. It’s an invitation.

Here’s what we’ll explore

Days 1–3: Arrive where you are
Make room for the life you’re actually living, acknowledge what you’ve carried, and begin where you are rather than where you think you ought to be.

Days 4–6: Notice what matters
Make room for the life you’re actually living, acknowledge what you’ve carried, and begin where you are rather than where you think you ought to be.

Days 7–10: Make room for possibility
Consider what you want to keep, what you might want to explore, where you have choices, and how you want to meet the days ahead.

Days 11–13: Choose how to continue
Identify one small step, make room for being human, and consider what you want to keep tending long after Lucky 13 ends.

You’ll also (HOPEFULLY, IF SPOONS ALLOW) have a simple printable workbook to collect your thoughts, if that’s your sort of thing.

That’s it. Thirteen days. One small invitation at a time.

Who is Lucky 13 for?

Lucky 13 is for anyone who’s found themselves wondering, What now?

Maybe the life you expected has been interrupted by illness, disability, loss, a major transition, or a change you never saw coming.

Maybe your children have grown, your work has changed, a relationship has ended, or you’ve reached a point where the old ways of doing things don’t quite fit anymore.

Maybe you’re simply realizing that you’re less interested in performing a life that looks right and more interested in actually living one that feels like yours.

You don’t need to be in crisis. You don’t need to have a five-year plan. You don’t even need to know what you’re looking for.

You just need a little curiosity about your own life and a willingness to pause long enough to pay attention.

You don’t have to know what’s next to begin exploring.

✨A FREE 13-day experiment in noticing magic.✨

A little about luck, and why Friday the 13th

For a long time, 13 has gotten a bad rap.

But I’ve always been interested in the space between what happens to us and what we do with what happens.

We don’t get to control all the circumstances of our lives. We can’t guarantee good luck, avoid every heartbreak, or make everything turn out the way we’d hoped AND ALSO, we aren’t entirely powerless, either. We can pay attention to what matters. We can question the stories we’ve been telling ourselves. We can make choices that support our values, leave room for possibility, and help us notice the good things that might otherwise slip by. We can learn to hold two truths at once: life can be terribly hard, and it can still contain moments of extraordinary goodness.

That’s the kind of luck I’m interested in.

Lucky 13 isn’t about manifesting a perfect life. It’s about noticing, choosing, and making room for a little more of what matters.

And Friday the 13th? It seemed like a perfectly delightful place to begin.

A new round of Lucky 13 opens around each Friday the 13th. Consider it a little recurring invitation to pause, get curious, and see what you notice.

What Lucky 13 is — and isn’t

lucky 13 Is a space to…

  • Meet yourself and your life with curiosity and care.
  • Honor both the hard things and the beautiful things.
  • Notice what matters and what might be ready to change.
  • Make room for hope without pretending to know how things will turn out.
  • Explore small, practical ways to live more intentionally.
  • Remember that ordinary moments count, too.

Lucky 13 isn’t a place to…

  • Become a “whole new you”.
  • Chase perfection or relentless positivity.
  • Pretend you can control everything if you just think the right thoughts.
  • Ignore your limitations or push past your capacity.
  • Turn your life into another project you can fall behind on.

You can show up tired. You can show up uncertain. You can skip a day and come back when you’re ready.

You can take what helps and leave the rest.

Sometimes, simply giving yourself permission to be where you are is more than enough.

Thirteen days. A little more room to be you.I’d love to have you join me.

We’ll take a little time to look at the life we’re living, get curious about what matters, and make room for what might still unfold.

No grand transformation required. No perfect plan waiting at the finish line.

Just you, your life, and thirteen days of paying a little more attention.

I can’t promise you’ll discover a four-leaf clover or suddenly know exactly what comes next.

But I do believe there’s something quietly powerful about pausing long enough to notice the life that’s already here—and remembering that our stories are still unfolding.

And if those thirteen days leave you wanting to explore your story more deeply, I’ll be delighted to introduce you to Write Your Life, another way to spend time with the experiences, stories, and possibilities that make a life your own.

But for now? Let’s start here.

I’m so glad you’re here.
